A clothing collection that connects Olympians, Paralympians and sports fans. This is the collection for the Summer Olympics in Paris.
The design inspiration in Czech history
Its main theme is the Czech flag, which was also worn on the chest of athletes at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris. Exactly 100 years ago, our athletes proudly represented us with the flag on their chest.
And this is where our inspiration came from. We proudly refer to the sports expedition in 1924, when some of the athletes wore white shirts with the flag, some wore black shirts with the same motif. And some of the Olympians wore these sports clothes – instead of suits – even to the opening ceremony, because they raced immediately afterwards.
As the official partner of the Czech Olympic Team, ALPINE PRO‘s goal was to create a sportswear and accessories collection that would represent our country while being practical and comfortable for athletes.
Cooperation on the Olympic collection
This part of the Olympic collection was designed by Veronika Paulenová, ALPINE PRO designer. “The clothing combines functionality, design and national colours. We collaborated with Kateřina Neumann, Kristiina Mäki, Lukáš Rohan, Martin Doktor and Patrik Jahoda to create it,” said Veronika Paulenová.
The collection available to fans includes many products from hats to t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, skirts, leggings to accessories including a backpack.
For the first time, the Paralympians were also involved in the preparation of the collection, even though they had already worn the same clothes as the whole Olympic team in the past. “We are happy for the ever stronger connection between Olympic and Paralympic sports. Sport in all its forms brings inspiring stories. There is only one sport,” says Miroslav Šperk, general secretary of the Czech Paralympic Committee.
